Founded in 1325 DR to oppose the growing influence of the Zhentarim, the Lord’s Alliance is a partnership of the independent cities of the Sword Coast, including Baldur’s Gate, Waterdeep, Neverwinter, Silverymoon and others.

The alliance is famous for cooperating with the Harpers, as well as hiring local adventurers and mercenaries to keep from risking their cities’ forces.

The organization only handled common, external threats to its members, while respecting the privacy of each member’s internal laws and affairs.
